Volna is a container cafe
in St. Petersburg, serving German classic street food — currywurst sausages
The project involved designing and illustrating the visual identity of the cafe, capturing the essence of its name, which means "Waves" in Russian, while also reflecting it’s German inspiration
To create a cohesive identity for Volna, I incorporated elements of waves and Munich, the German city that inspired the cafe. The design is built upon a minimalist flat style, which resonates with the young target audience. Simple lines, flat illumination, and a limited color palette were used to achieve this trendy and appealing look.
